The LODGE Lodge Logic Double Dutch Oval L8DD3 is a new model with a deep lid and a handle on the kitchen oven loop handle. Lid can also be used as a skillet. You can roll a sponge cake or dish potato or flip it over for double sided cooking. After many years of research from Lodge, this is a ready-to-use. The Lodge Logic has been finished with a coating on the surface to give it a stately finished product that has been used for many years. LODGE Lodge was born in 1896 by Joseph Lodge in South Pittsburgh, USA. Since then, we have been adhering to cast irons with the belief that choosing good tools is the first step in creating delicious dishes. LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in. Cast iron features slow transfer of heat. Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity. Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties. This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core. It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use

I love cast iron cookware and this Lodge Dutch Oven was purchased mainly to bake sourdough bread and to take on camping trips. I was disappointed to find 2 spots where it looks like it it was not finished properly. I am hoping it will not rust over time. Time will tell.

Maybe they are not all like this but I’m returning mine. Just opened the box to use it and the coating was chipped. I expect more for the price I paid. Hopefully I just got a lemon because this is a highly rated product and brand in general.

I love everything about this ... however it arrived damaged. Which was a bummer...Thankfully its easy to repair cast iron lolOther than that..this is fantastic bang for your buck and I'd love to try out more lodge products. I'm really thrilled about making sourdough.... and roasts.... and bringing it camping with us too!

Viene con partes un poco oxidadas, no se ve que tenga en general muy buena calidad. Lo compré para un regalo y estoy dudosa de darlo con esos detalles, tal vez me lo quedo para mi pero me preocupa que empeoren esos detalles con el uso. Qué lástima que no tengan buen control de calidad porque la olla es muy bonita.

Una buena compra, puedo preparar comidas en leña y no se pega. O en la estufa y quedan deliciosas. Solo para limpiar tengo que tener paciencia pues hay que lavar secar y además agregar aceite para que no se oxide todo debe de ser rápido, sino empieza a oxidarse lo digo por experiencia
