This slices beautiful juilenne strips from vegetables. My only problem is that I tend to hold a carrot, for example, while slicing - rather than rest it against a board. As a result, I'm left with a good third of the carrot unsliced. Mea culpa, not a design flaw. Depending on what's being cut into strips, it could do with being a little narrower, but it's so safe to use and easy to clean that I really don't mind.

I read so many reviews about the sharpness of this tool so I proceeded with caution. First I tried to use this without taking the guard off as there weren’t any instructions, my partner figured it out for me ?This is an amazing tool, I used a fork to protect my hand but I still managed to cut myself in several places. It was well worth it, the carrots were the best I’ve ever had, so much easier than hand cutting.

Disaster the first time I used it. I knew it had a blade guard, but didn’t realise it also had some blue tape to protect the new blade. Muttered to myself over a small pile of mushed carrot before throwing it to one side intending to return.once I removed the bit of film, I became most impressed! Only tried on cucumber, for roast duck and salad, but it’s lovely. Just watch your fingers.

You don't need to spent £20 on a spiralizer or a tenner on a glorified pencil sharpener for vegetables when you can just use this. When you initially use the peeler the vegetable will come out in long straight strips which won't look like the cool vegetable noodles you see in photos across the internet UNTIL you flash cook them in a frying pan/skillet for 2-3 minutes; then they loosen up and go all curly and tender. Delicious!I recommend using salt, pepper, coconut oil and 1-2 of your favourite seasonings when you flash cook the veg noodles. For example, I use turmeric!

As with most these sharp instruments, it's always a struggle to use without shredding your fingers. Well it is for me! I once bought a mandolin....let's not say anymore about that. I thought this might be good to use to julienne my carrots, but it is a bit difficult to hold and use at the same time. Definitely managed to cut myself.

I’ve always liked oxo products. I have the peeler which has lasted years and still going.I got this to easily make long strips of carrots and cucumber as the machines I have make small cuts. This definitely does the job.Just be carful as the blades are pretty sharp.Might be a good idea to hold the veg with a fork so it’s easier to slice all the way down and avoid your fingers.

I'm not sure if I reviewed a dud product as most reviews are so positive here, but this does not work as advertised. It requires a lot of force to slice through veggies and then when it does slice, the blade immediately gets clogged with shavings and won't go again until you clean it out. It's very inefficient and with the effort you have use you get it to work half decently - I'd rather have invested in a sharp knife. It would be safer too.
