I used the rough side to create the first bevel and it came out very course and rough. I used the fine side to try to fix it but after 30 passes it was still unacceptable. I was no sharper than when I began. The motor is also pretty weak, any pressure at all would stop it.Very disappointed and will be returning it.

The coarser wheel on mine has a wobble to it, so it actually does not uniformly sharpen the blade as you pull it through while it is running, which makes for an ineffective knife sharpener.
