The first couple of purchases of these filters worked just fine. This last batch is the opposite. First one of this 3-pack lasted less than a month. Did the rinse & shake to get to it flow again and black particles started coming out of it. Tossed that filter & took apart the whole unit to clean it out. New filter lasted about a week. Did the shake & rinse only to have it go back to taking forever for water to get to the bottom after just 3 days! What happened PUR? You now have me looking at other options for purifying our drinking water.

They came when promised and they are PUR filters but beware that these are the old model PUR filters - not the newest model. The newer models filter water far faster than these do (you'll have to wait a good 20 minutes to use the pitcher with these).

As others have said here, these filters very slow right off the bat. I've tried all the tips and tricks to get them working properly to no avail. On the 3rd of my 3 pack and they've all underperformed.

Our experience is the filters work quite well and the water tastes clean and delicious. Then, after two weeks the water grinds to a drip and water tastes fishy. Our most recent filter locked into place but, but, it had a circular gap, small but it circled the entire filter which allowed the wobble side to side. This allowed the water to pass through unfiltered. Water was slightly yellowed and tasted funky. Upset my stomach to the point that I switched to bottled water.

I've used two different types of pur filter, both are great. Taste is great. I'm only knocking a star because in the past year they seen to fluctuate their prices like crazy and I'm not spending $90(I've seen it) on 3 filters. The no name CF brand is absolute garbage. Pur filters taste great, but pricing could be better.

There is nothing not to like about these filters except they clog up and become unusable after only a couple of weeks of use. The internet is full of hacks to extend their usable lifespan, but outside the fact that you shouldn’t have to modify a filter to make it work, even with the hacks I haven’t been able to get more than a month out of one of these things. It’s too bad. I’ve been using PUR products for years, but these filters are a fail.

Been using PUR water pitcher filters for years. Those black spots....they are what comes out of the faucet...I use PURified water for drinking, cooking, washing salads and storing my mouth guard.

These filters just won't drain. The filter that came with my pitcher worked great, but these are exploding with black beads and refuses to filter the top water to the bottom.

None of these pur filters work. Takes 8 or more hours to filter 1/2 gallon. Really disappointed since it worked well for years.
