As other reviewers have said, these make good - albeit huge - ice cubes. As I'm sure you know since you're looking for these, smaller ice cubes melt faster and water down your cocktail. The cubes these make are big and last for two+ rounds. Filling the mold and getting it set it pretty easy if you follow the directions (and is pretty ingenious).One caveat: I couldn't get the cubes to fit into most of my tumblers; you need an extra wide glass for these to fit. If you only have a standard rocks glass, I suggest the spherical ice "cube" molds made by the same company. They have a smaller diameter than these.

Nothing beats a glass of bourbon after a hard day at work. I brought these things out one day not knowing what to expect. Aside from the sheer size of these and difficulty finding a good glass to fit them in, they are awesome. Long lasting, and true to shape. They have a little learning curve to get them out at first, but unless you oil the cases up I think you will run into this issue with all molds. I wouldn't say these are a need, but glad I have them.

I have both the cube and sphere ice mold from Tovolo. I've had them for about 2 months now and they both work great and are easy to make the spheres. The only thing to note is that the size of the cube mold is a bit larger than the sphere and actually does not fit in my whiskey glasses until it melts a little, so not really a product fault but wish it was just a tad smaller in size. Otherwise, both the sphere and cube molds are excellent products!

Makes nice sized cubes. I can never seem to mike clear ice despite trying all the tricks, however I don't see that as the fault of the mold, but rather variation in dissolved gases and/or impurities in the water source.

This really works well. I read on another review to get clear ice you should boil the water a few times. I always use filtered water to begin with. There is a trick to getting the cubes out easily. Simply leave the rubber on it and run hot water over the underside for ~20 sec. then remove the rubber top. This should remove the cube with it. Really seems good quality. Love my old' fashions now.

I purchased this ice cube tray as well as the Practico Kitchen Large Ice Cube Mold - Makes 4 Jumbo 2.25 Inch Big Ice Cubes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YOJRFKQ.That other one makes clearer, more beautiful cubes. The rigid quality of the Tovolo design causes fracturing in the cubes. The Practico takes up very little space in the freezer and makes eight cubes concurrently for the same money as this Tovolo set makes two.Please see the images for comparison. Tovolo on the left, Practico on the right.

These are huge square cubes which are perfect as they melt much slower and are terrific looking. I love how easy they are to use. The stacking I haven't used as I have a lower drawer freezer, and they fit in the inside door bin perfect. I will probably buy more and give as stocking stuffers this holiday season. And I plan to buy a few for housewarming gifts too!!!
